The Museo Nazionale Etrusco di Villa Giulia in Rome holds an extraordinary collection of Etruscan and pre-Roman treasures, along with an extensive collection of jewels created by the Castellani family during the 1800s and early 1900s. They specialized in jewels inspired by or copies of ones that were excavated from the necropolises of Etruria in Pompei and Herculaneum. Other Castellani jewels are held by The Vatican, Capitoline Museum and the Artistic-Industria Museum of Rome.
Inspired by both the original Etruscan and Castellani jewels, this pear-shaped tourmaline, with colors of blush pink through soft apricot, is edged with our signature graduated gold and platinum granulation.
Handmade in recycled 22k yellow gold and platinum and a Nigerian tourmaline (9.39ctw). Length approximately 33mm, width 17mm (L 1.3in W .67in). The chain is not included.
One-of-a-kind.
