The wonderful Museo Nazionale Etrusco di Villa Giulia in Rome holds an extraordinary collection of Etruscan and pre-Roman treasures, along with an extensive collection of jewels created by the Castellani family during the 1800s and early 1900s in the style of the historical jewelry of the Etruria. Other Castellani jewels are held by The Vatican, Capitoline Museum and the Artistic-Industria Museum of Rome.
Inspired by both the original Etruscan and Castellani jewels, this charm features a salmon pink round rhodochrosite extensively decorated with gold granulation. The rhodochrosite is of exceptional quality and comes from the Bolivia-Argentina border area.
Handmade using recycled 22k yellow gold and rhodochrosite (10.56ctw). Length approximately 25mm, width 17mm (L .98in W .7 in).
