Inspired by the goldsmiths of antiquity, who used gold granules of different sizes to paint scenes and tableaux on their work, this variation on the classic stud earring has the silky appearance of a velvet cushion. The gold is smooth and almost soft to the touch.
Elegant yet versatile, these cushion style stud earrings feature delicate all over granulation highlighted by a discreet diamond sparkle. Although ancient in technique, granulation gives both an antique and very modern look. Length approximately 9mm W 8mm (L .35in W .32in).
