This intensely colored pearl comes from a family-owned pearl farm on the atoll of Takaroa in Tahiti. Many of my most beautifully and unusually colored pearls have come from there. After I select them, I sketch many designs before settling on one that highlights the natural beauty of the pearl while fitting my aesthetic. Sometimes pearls can sit in my vault for a quite a while before I finalize their designs.
This one begged for the coolness of platinum to enhance the color. So, a dainty platinum daisy cap sits atop this pear-shaped deep blue green pearl. Grass-green tsavorite garnets alternate on the petals, reflecting the mysterious sea colors. A single, oversize gold granule holds the bail.
