Pyramid design has always fascinated me, with step pyramids being found across the world with the pre-Colombian civilizations of Mesoamerica (Mayan, Aztec and Toltec cultures) being the most prolific builders of them. In Mesopotamia they were known as ziggurats.
This modern-day ziggurat (or step pyramid) features a custom cut matte black onyx cube topped with a golden step pyramid and emerald. The buttery gold pyramid and emerald seem to float above the onyx, blending the ancient and new.
