When I found this cabochon rhodolite garnet, there was something almost hypnotically soothing and pleasant about the touch and feel of it, which meant it had to become a piece of jewelry you could run your fingertips over it without being conscious of doing so.

Linguists say that the exclamation mark comes from a Latin exclamation of joy, "io". Antiquarian writers would write io at the end of sentences to show happiness and over time, they made a series of changes to io, such as placing the "I" above the "O" and making the "O" smaller until it turned into a dot. Io became the exclamation mark.
