I loved the symmetrical bright burnt orange and caramel-colored copper needles in this lovely cabochon from the famed Malacacheta mine in Minas Gerais. Rich, warm gold and cool polished platinum graduated granules float orbit-like as tiny satellites around the rutilated quartz "moon".
